"The cloud" showed no mercy, in the morning the sun was gone - and so some leftovers from our dinner, a stray nicked them while we were sleeping. As it didn't make sense to stay at the beach without the right weather, we headed north, to the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria. We managed it to get some real greek salad before we left the country. The plan was to cross Turkey but they didn't let us enter because of some insurance issue. Therefore we had to make a detour through the interiour of Bulgaria which brought us countless potholes on deserted roads through sparsely populated areas. This shot was done somewhere after Svilengrad, showing a typical small town and one of this horse-drawn vehicles which can be seen often in this part of Europe. Arriving at Burgas we wanted to stay at a camping site, but as six years ago, there was no such thing at the coast although they are still listed on the map. So after ten hours on mostly broken roads we stopped exhausted long after midnight at the shores of Shkorpilovtsi, a bit south of Varna.

Das gibts bei uns leider nur mehr selten zu sehen - und schon gar nicht in der Nähe einer größeren Ansiedlung ...
