Iceland is a birdwatcher's paradise - there are lots of sea gulls, swallows, waterfowls and many others. This is a Redshank, taking off a fence at Rauðinúpur in the very north of the country. Besides the cute Puffins the Arctic Terns where the most, let's say, entertaining species. Like in Hitchcock's famous movie "The Birds" they defended their breeding grounds by kamikazelike attacking our heads.
