This is one of the sprudling mudponds at the solfatare field of Hverir, next to Mývatn - very hot and stinky and representing one of the strangest places of our planet. And besides the jurassic landscape there you also find the most annoying midges. Hundreds are hovering around your head, even running doesn't help, they will always follow you. Even worse they seem to love being photographed and fly permanently in front of your lens - what would I do without Photoshop? |
