Instead of being in Kuala Lumpur (flights from Yangon were too expensive) we celebrated New Year's Eve in Bangkok - which was quite unspectacular, considering that Bangkok is an huge city and a touristic hotspot ... For example there was no fireworks and on Khaosan Road it was maybe a little louder and a little crazier but not as much as we expected. Still it was too much mayhem there so we stayed mostly in a more quiet part of this quarter.
